Witnessing the sun rising over the horizon is always a treat, especially for someone who doesn’t live close to the ocean. It’s even more of a treat when I get to share it with my wife, who doesn’t normally tag along to my landscape shoots.
We arrived at Turimetta well before the 5.38am sunrise, which was great as I usually take a while in setting up. There was a little fumbling with the camera settings at the start – possibly attributed to my brain being foggy due to the early rise! Thankfully that didn’t last too long, and I was able to capture some of the wonderful pastel colours on display.
Sunrise brought about some glorious light rays, which were even more spectacular to see in person.
