26 January 2018 – Having arrived in Adelaide just a couple of hours ahead of the scheduled start of the Australia Day fireworks, my wife and I decided to head straight out to Elder Park, one of the main vantage points in the city for the light show.
However, it turned out that the location we had chosen by the riverbank wasn’t ideal for the shot I had envisioned, as the fireworks were to appear much further to the left of Adelaide Oval. The solution was therefore to create a composite (shown above), with a separate image of the fireworks moved a little over to the right to fit into the frame.
Fireworks aside, the rest of the long weekend was spent exploring the city area on foot and leisurely capturing a small selection of architecture and street art using both the Canon 5D Mark III and the iPhone 7 Plus.

Fantastic images and story Will.
